Redemption Church began in prayer. In April of 2012, five families sought God's will. Over a 4-week period of time these families all discerned that God was calling Jason and Erin Bowman to plant a new church. Unbeknownest to any of them, 4 hours south, that very same month, God was calling another family, Tray and Taye Morgan, to leave their home and begin a new work for the Lord. Redemption Church began because God called, challenged and inspired these familes and others to step out in faith.
The launch team of 10 familes began meeting in October of 2012 to build community and create a vision for Redemption Church. In January of 2013, they were commissioned at Christ Church in Plano. In Febuary of 2013, Redemption began Saturday night Bible studies at Kids R Kids in Frisco. By September of 2013, this little group of believers had grown to 50 regular members and launched Sunday morning services.
Since that time, Redemption has continued to grow as more families connect and join in fulfilling the mission our mission to live Kingdom First Lives. Redemption has also begun new ways of serving including partnering in ministry at Preston Trace and Restored Hope in Local Missions. Along with a World Missions focus where they serve with La Mission for medical mission trips to Guatemala and sponser children to provide education and sustanance. All these togehter with sound Biblical teaching provide opportunties for spiritual growth and fellowship for our body.
We believe in making disciples who make a difference. We focus our energy on loving God, loving our neighbor and loving one another. We take God and His Word seriously, while trying not to take ourselves too seriously. We love God, but are fallen people who don't make excuses, just embrace the forgiveness, new life and hope that is in Jesus Christ. We'd love to get to know you and see if Redemption Church might be a place you would connect with and call home.
