Introducing Redemption Church

Welcome to Redemption. I am Rev. Jason Bowman, and I am the Sr. Pastor here. We are non-traditional, traditional church. I know that's as clear as mud. Let me see if I can clean it up a little.

It means we teach the Bible every Sunday with passion, verse by verse and with a single aim: to help everyone know Jesus better. We sing contemporary music (often with a little Celtic feel from our violinist), have Sunday school for our kids, do Bible studies during the week for adults and offer opportunities for mission work in our city and in other parts of the world. We don't care how you dress, and we don't care what your church background is or even if you have a church background.

On the other hand, there are some things that might be different from what you are used to if you are like me and come out of a Baptist church or a Bible church or any non-denominational church. We have no special lights for our stage, no smoke machines, no projection of images and we sing hymns along with our contemporary music. We find great value in the ancient church and practices passed down through the ages such as the church calendar and spiritual disciplines. We celebrate communion every Sunday as a highlight of our time together. Our kids begin in the service with us to experience church with their family and other believing adults, but exit at the sermon to get a more age appropriate message. We like times of silence and reflection in our crazy, very loud world. We pray together multiple times throughout the service, and sometimes we use the words from very ancient prayers.

It is hard to explain with words, but I invite you to come and see for yourself. If you want solid, passionate Bible teaching, but perhaps are looking for something a little different in a service, we'd love for you to join us Sunday morning.

You can also email me at: with any questions you might have. I look forward to meeting you Sunday.

We worship every Sunday morning with about 160 other people of whom a good 50 of those are kids! Our service is held at PINK Elementary off Eldorado.

The service begins at 10 am and finishes up around 11:25 am (hopefully not too early, but also getting out in time for a good meal!). It takes about 5 minutes to get kids checked in for Sunday School, and any of our greeters can help you through the process.

We understand it can be a little nerve wracking coming to a new place. We welcome you to contact us ahead of time and let us know you are coming. We can meet you at the door, register your kids and do our best to make your first visit with us a great experience.
