What We Believe

At Redemption, we rest in the historic Christian faith founded upon the Bible and taught by the apostles and early church while embracing the core teaching of the Reformation and the necessity of contemporary expression and application to encourage, train and inspire the people of God.

We believe that life is amazing, but can also be amazingly hard; that relationships bring great beauty, but can also be beautifully messy. We believe that everyone has issues, but God can take whatever our past or present may be and bring about good and love and truth and life. We are real people with real lives who serve a real God that accepts us as we are, but will never stop working to make us all that He calls us to be.

Belief that impacts everyday life

† Jesus is the hope for every person who will trust in him because we have all sinned and are in need of forgiveness

† Jesus offers life, rest, peace and purpose no matter who we are,       what we have done or how we have struggled

† Jesus commissions every disciple to love God, love our neighbors and        love one another

† Jesus calls us into community to serve him, to serve and support one          another and to honor God

† Jesus challenges us each day to carry the cross

† Jesus invites us to himself through faith

Belief that shapes who we are

(Apostle's Creed)

We believe God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth

We believe in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord. He was conceieved by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church The communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.
